Territory:  Philadelphia, PA

The Transplant Specialist, Franchise Sales manages and develops long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for the customer accounts in the assigned territory.  As such, Transplant Specialists represent the assigned GNE brand(s) and their approved indications; helping external customers such as physicians, nurses, etc. learn about the benefits of the assigned GNE brand(s) in relation to the applicable therapeutic area/disease state.

Reports to: Division Manager, Franchise Sales

Example Duties and Responsibilities:
*Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets
*Develops robust territory business plans
*Develops strong and long-term relationships with customers in all assigned accounts
*Presents the assigned GNE brands in a professional, compliant, ethical and effective manner; helping external customers understand the benefits and use of GNE brands
*Monitors operating costs and compliance with territory budget
*Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of GNE activities
*Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required

Qualifications and Experience: unless stated as "preferred" or "a plus," all other criteria is required
*Bachelors Degree
*Average of 2 or more years' work experience
*Previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry is preferred
*Proven track record of meeting or exceeding objectives & goals
*Previous experience in achieving specific sales plans or other financial targets is preferred

Description:  

The National Sales Director (NSD) leads a national field sales organization for the assigned GNE brand(s).  

Reports to: Sr. Director, Franchise

Example Duties and Responsibilities:
*Hires, develops and oversees the work of a team of direct and indirect reports
*Ensures national sales organization meets/exceeds sales and other goals and targets
*Leads franchise sales' business planning
*Develops and oversees strategies, goals and targets that strengthen the market position of assigned GNE brand(s); increasing rate of market adoption and overall financial results
*Cascades strategies, goals, targets and budget throughout all regions
*Regularly monitors and tracks sales performance/progress, includes use of budget/resources.  Oversees team to ensure optimal results
*Works regularly with direct reports and their team members in the field
*Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of GNE activities
*Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required

Qualifications and Experience: unless stated as "preferred" or "a plus," all other criteria is required
*Bachelors Degree
*MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred
*Average of 12 or more years' work experience
*A minimum of 4 years' previous field sales management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry; area or regional management experience is preferred as an indication of previous leadership of larger-scale workforces
*2 years' or more previous product marketing or similar experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry is strongly preferred; ideally completed at the Senior Product Manager-level or above
*Previous/direct managed care experience - either in account management, payer-focused marketing, or other - is strongly preferred
*Previous direct experience with pre-launch drugs is required
*Previous experience working in support functions such as Sales Training, Sales Operations, etc. is preferred
*Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals, for larger-scale sales or marketing organizations  
*Previous experience leading larger-scale business planning processes, to include development & implementation of such plans, goals and metrics
