Description:
 
The Department of Surgery at Children’s Hospital Boston is looking for a highly experienced Molecular and Cell Biology Ph.D. faculty member who will provide intensive guidance in a broad range of scientific disciplines in the laboratory.
 
The candidate will be required to have in-depth knowledge and extensive experience relating to the development of transplantation tolerance, signal transduction, immunology, oncology stem cell science, vascular biology and virology supported by publications in most of the areas.
 
The candidate will be required to collaborate with the other faculty members of the department in Translational Research.
 
Special consideration will be given to the candidate who has long-term experience in effective project leadership in specific fields, including transplantation chimerism and tolerance, cell signaling mechanisms, biomarker analysis, cell culture techniques, including stem cell culture, various high-throughput biological and immunological methods, and utilization of viral vectors to support pediatric transplantation and tissue engineering-related research in the group.
 
Understanding of the IND submission process for regulatory submission to FDA is a plus.
