The amount of time in any particular area will vary according to services and patient needs since transplantation is a very dynamic activity.
In addition, you should have knowledge of transplantation (preferably renal) and/or dialysis; proven organizational skills; excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with physicians and other support staff; experience in public speaking and/or teaching; and proficiency in MS Office programs and internet browsing.

Description:
This position plans, administers and facilitates the entire search process for hematopoietic progenitor cells from a variety of donor sources (including cords) and ensures both patient and donor confidentiality. This person will also coordinate search related activities with assigned domestic and international network centers (including donor centers, transplant centers, collection centers, and cooperative registries), as well as analyze and provide guidance for issues concerning the search process, health history guidelines, and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, medical technology (Clinical Laboratory Science), biology, biochemistry, public health or other healthcare related field. On evaluation, a Bachelors degree in another field may be substituted for a Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field in combination with two years experience in a relevant position in an NMDP department.
Five years of healthcare experience including knowledge and use of medical terminology; an understanding of HLA system strongly preferred. On evaluation, one year as a Search Coordinator I OR two years in a relevant position in an NMDP department may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Principles of case management and confidentiality, medical knowledge of stem cell transplantation, infectious disease testing and HLA typing.
Excellent oral and written communication; advanced interpersonal and complex problem solving and decision making; customer service; proficiency in using computer software such as Windows, word processing, internet and databases; foreign language desirable.
Position requires some flexibility in work hours; some travel, 2-3 trips per year of 2-4 nights each; and participation in after hours on-call rotation.

The Donation Services Coordinator is a key member of the team responsible for providing donor screening/evaluation, procurement case coordination and dispatch response capabilities to support the referral of potential organ/tissue/eye donors. Position is also responsible for speaking with families in crisis about the opportunity to donate life saving and enhancing organs and tissues.
Position is located in a call center environment and is on the evening shift, 3 pm to 11pm Monday - Friday.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years professional experience in social work or medical field required, LPN licensure or paramedic certification strongly preferred. Strong organizational, problem analysis, communication and decision-making skills also required.

Front line staff member responding to potential organ donor referrals from hospitals. Referral information is accessed via rapid phone response, and is often followed with on-site response to the hospital for clinical and social evaluation of referral scenarios. Qualifications:

Ability to interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel in various healthcare settings (interoffice personnel, donor hospitals, transplant centers, donor families, and the public) required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with public speaking experience desired. Ability to communicate in Spanish (read, write, speak) preferred. The Donor Information Coordinator is responsible for the completion of donor case files by performing the initial review, obtaining corrections and required documentation, confirming that the donor case file is correct and accurate; and ensuring the accuracy of the donor database while meeting pre-determined chart completion goals and performing on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
