Laboratory Technician, New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network, Springfield, New Jersey

Description:

New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network is seeking two Laboratory Technicians to perform all authorized laboratory clerical and technical functions according to written policies and procedures.

Duties include specimen accession, specimen preparation, computer data entry and reporting, quality assurance surveys, and other routine laboratory assignments, and any other tasks assigned by the Director

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology and or Biology preferred. Laboratory certification at the MLT (ASCP) level or phlebotomy certification and/or laboratory experience in histocompatibility or blood banking is preferred. Must participate in 7 hours of approved continuing education activities per year to maintain current knowledge and skills in field.
