As a Registered nurse in transplant, you will be able to provide superior nursing care to a wide patient population with the major focus on Cardiothoracic Transplant patients. The cardiovascular transplant floor has low nurse to patient ratios, allowing you the ability to ensure that patient care meets the highest standard of patient and family satisfaction, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervision of all Nursing and Unit-based personnel on the designated shift in order to provide a safe environment for optimum patient care. Assists in implementing policies and procedures to achieve desired goals and objectives. Facilitates in the development of budgets, continued quality improvement and Councilor Management Programs.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Science of Nursing REQUIRED
· 2 years of RN experience in Telemetry, PCU, or Critical Care REQUIRED
· CPR/BLS is REQUIRED
· ACLS is REQUIRED
· Previous Supervisory, Charge, or Leadership experience is REQUIRED.

Working within the framework of the philosophy and objectives set forth by the Director of the Transplant Programs, the Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the transplant program staff. This position requires an advanced level of expertise and overall understanding of organ transplantation. Utilizing a wide range of alternatives in problem solving situations, demonstrates a high degree of professional competence and skill. Responsibility involves coordination of interdisciplinary medical care delivery system under the direction of the Medical Director; assessment of appropriate medical intervention for effective use of resources and quality assurance. Additional responsibilities include assessing and monitoring medical case management protocols to maintain effective long-term patient management, development of educational materials and programs for patients, nursing staff and physicians. The Nurse Manager will manage all functions of the medical oncology unit for LDS hospital. This unit will house the 16 bed Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit and an additional 16 bed unit to care for a patient population of Oncology and general medical/surgical patients. The Nurse Manager will oversee unit activities on a 24-hour a day basis and prioritize the accountabilities/responsibilities to make the most efficient use of resources.
The Nurse Manager is accountable for the leadership, resource allocation, and safe work environment necessary to promote nursing practice consistent with quality, cost-efficient patient care. The Nurse Manager will promote the Intermountain Values of Mutual Respect, Accountability, Trust, and Excellence.
The Nurse Manager will promote the care of oncology, bone marrow transplant and general medical surgical patient populations.
Qualifications:
· Current UT State RN license is required.
· Must have current BLS for health care professional or higher CPR certification.
· Bachelor's Degree (BSN) is required, Master's preferred.
· Minimum 5 years RN experience is required.
