Submitted by Roger Evans on Sat, 04/10/2010 - 23:00.We're seeking an individual to assist with implementing and maintaining the Transplant Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Plan by collecting, reporting and analyzing data. You'll also identify opportunities for improvement, coordinate activities, and support the development/implementation of action plans and clinical practice changes.
Qualifications Include:
- 3-5 years of transplant experience as a nurse or other healthcare professional.
- Knowledge of CMS, UNOS, Joint Commission licensure and accreditation standards.
- Formal training in CQI theory and techniques preferred.
- PA RN license or CPHQ certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

Currently, St. Jude Children's
The Transplant Quality Specialist in the Oncology Department will assist the Transplant Quality Management Officer and the Transplant Quality Coordinator with quality management and quality improvement initiatives in the medical care for patients and donors of transplant services. The Specialist will assist in the maintenance of the standard operating procedures (SOP) within the clinical transplant program. The selected candidate will work closely with the Transplant Quality Coordinator, physicians, nurses and staff of the program and institution to conduct ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement within the department. The candidate will assist in maintaining competencies, licensure, and continuing medical education documentation.
This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week.
Requirements:
· RN Required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
· 3 years of experience in bone marrow transplantation required.
· Quality assurance/improvement experience preferred.
· Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is
· Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
