One faculty position will seek an outstanding physician-scientist interested in basic developmental nephrology research, and will involve ample protected time for laboratory research and limited clinical and teaching responsibilities.

The appointment will be full time on the UCL Consultant Clinical
Academic Grade. The salary range will be £76,666-£102,608 per
annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The UCL Faculty of Biomedical Sciences has established a new
Reader/Honorary Consultant post in Nephrology within the Division
of Medicine. Clinical work will be performed at the Royal Free
Hospital
NHS Trust. The post has the following key responsibilities:
participation in the teaching activities of the Division of Medicine;
development of an independent research programme within the
Centre for Nephrology; and commitment to the vasculitis and
transplant service at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust.

Full registration with the General Medical Council and acceptance
on the GMC Specialist Register are requirements of this post.
Overseas applicants will need to ascertain from the relevant Royal
College that their clinical training would allow them to practise at
Consultant level in the UK and be included in the GMC Specialist
Register. Appointment to this post will be made on the terms of the
Consultant Clinical Academic contract. Basic salary on

This candidate will have the opportunity to participate in clinical and basic research, inpatient and outpatient consultation, acute and chronic dialysis and care of renal transplant patients. The Pediatric Nephrology division provides medical management of hypertension, renal and urological disorders, fluid and electrolytes disorders, acute and chronic kidney failure, and renal transplant. It also offers consultative services to the 25 bed PICU, 60 bed NICU, 15 bed Pediatric cardiac ICU and pediatric inpatient units. All modalities of dialysis are used.

 

Pediatric renal clinics use a team approach with a renal dietician, renal social worker, renal nurse practitioner and a nephrology nurse specialist to provide comprehensive care.

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children (IFHC) has an opening for a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist to join three pediatric nephrologists in a well established and growing clinical practice in Northern Virginia and Metropolitan Washington, DC. The Department of Pediatrics at IFHC is affiliated with the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, and the Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, we are also the Division of Pediatric Nephrology for Georgetown University Hospital, Department of pediatrics.

Pediatric Nephrology is part of a Pediatric multi-specialty practice and offers complete clinical programs for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired acute and chronic kidney disease at all stages, including end-stage renal disease. Inpatient consultation is provided to large and highly rated PICU, NICU, and general Pediatric services. Outpatient diagnostic renal ultrasound, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and all forms of renal replacement therapy are provided by the nephrology service.
